‘blazer media

During the Digital Media Brand Workshop at the Columbia Publishing Course, I was assigned to a team with a dozen of my peers to create a brand on a certain topic — in our case, that was fashion. My team and I created ‘blazer, a digital fashion brand for young women entering the workforce in any industry. We aimed to target the “trailblazer”: the go-getter who wants to mix professionalism and individuality as they take the working world by storm.

As the Social Media Editor for our brand, ‘blazer, I created social media campaigns, influencer marketing, branded content, and relevant and engaging posts to bring our website traffic.

The profiles are real and available to look at:

CAMPAIGN CONCEPTS

  1. As a launch event for ’blazer, we will be collaborating with international internet sensation Matilda Djerf and her viral brand Djerf Avenue to help fans and followers begin to reinvent their workwear. The event will take place at a pop-up location in New York City. Influencers and followers will be given a Djerf Avenue blazer that is customized with a flash-embroidered ’blazer logo. Fans and followers can choose from any of the three colors of the Djerf Avenue blazer, as well as the location on the garment and logo design from ’blazer’s design catalog for embroidery. This launch campaign would utilize the capital of a well-loved fashion influencer in addition to offering ’blazer’s audience access to the brand face-to-face before launch, as well as a limited edition variant of a viral product.

  2. As a second campaign concept for ’blazer’s first year, we will launch a social media series of trailblazers, defined as young people taking their industry by storm. These corporate superheroes will sit down with our editor-in-chief to discuss what makes them feel powerful (in and out of the office), their personal style, and how they’ve changed the game. This video series will be posted in short-form on TikTok and Instagram reels and long-form on YouTube. Eventually, a second round of these videos will be made in which a single question is centered and the response from multiple trailblazers is included in the video. Trailblazers will include Highsnobiety’s Willa Bennett, DSB Founder Dillon St. Bernard, Oddli co-founders Jensen Neff and Ellie Chen, and more.
